Make your dreams a reality — with these delicious Chocolate Chip Dreams!
I’ll let you in on a little secret – this isn’t my recipe. It’s my aunt’s. I have no idea where she got it from, but it’s delicious. I’d like to say Paul and I didn’t finish off the entire batch of these in a weekend, but, well, I’d be lying. They are that good. They may not be the most photogenic of recipes, but, don’t let my terrible pictures fool you!
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 tbsp flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 6 oz chocolate chips – or a bit more if you’re like me
- ter, flour and brown sugar. Mix first with fork, then with your hands! Take the mixture and press it firmly and evenly into a 8/9″ lightly greased pan. Bake for 10 minutes.
While crust is baking, beat eggs into large bowl. Add brown sugar and vanilla and beat again. Stir in flour, baking powder and chocolate chips. Spread over crust in pan and bake 7-10 minutes, depending on oven. Do not overbake. My mom and I once overbaked them and well, let’s just say that topping is meant to be gooey! The topping should be extremely gooey. Let cool before serving.
Now — try not to eat just one. Enjoy!
